The elementary school at Journeys School is seeking a dynamic and energetic teacher for the 2012-13 school year. Previous experience in developing curriculum along with teaching elementary school reading, writing, and mathematics is required. Specific qualifications and interest in technology and math are desirable. Qualifications include an undergraduate degree (advanced degree preferred) in education or subject area, previous classroom experience, a demonstrated passion for teaching at the elementary level, superior communication skills and an excellent work ethic. Successful candidates will have exceptional skills in collaboration, communication, leadership, initiative and building rapport with students in previous work environments. Journeys School (www.journeysschool.org) is an independent Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade school that values innovation, collaboration, professional excellence and high quality instruction and curriculum design.
