Climate Connect Limited is Online Media and Analytics for Energy Environment Markets. Started in 2010 by a group of Stanford University, Cambridge University and ETH Zurich alumni, it runs a network of websites and develops enterprise level solutions that provide access to content (news, prices, databases, commentary, forecasts etc) and analytics for emerging environmental markets. Its operational websites  include NEWS.climate-connect.com, TERMINAL.climate-connect.com while  www.californiacarbon.info is under development. The company’s core strength is a unique combination of sector knowledge and strong IT skills.  The entire IT team is based in India.  The IT team develops scraping algorithms to extract data points, build strong database infrastructure and UI UX for front end websites, everything in close coordination with subject matter experts.

The Role: The company is looking for an IT Project Manager to manage and lead the full cycle of its upcoming websites in this niche sector. The person will have a team of junior developers and tester reporting to him, and possibly a graphic designer.  The ideal person will have advanced IT skills, command over more than one coding language, proven track record of working on projects while at university, and leading a team of colleagues. Required:  

Knowledge and experience of the following is required:

1. Java, J2EE, Struts, Spring, JSF, HTML, Javascript, JSP

2. Application integration tools such as ANT, Maven
3. Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, Web Logic 
4. Deploying Web applications 
5. Linux work environment
6. Requirement Gathering, documentation and software design
7. Security

8. Project Management and Planning 

9. Supervision of team

10. Agile Development process and softwares

11. Open Source Content Management System like WordPress and/or Drupal.

Qualification:  Bachelor  or master degree in a computer science related subject.  

Duration: 12 months

Location: New Delhi, India (not negotiable).  

Stipend:  

• Monthly stipend as per market standards currently at INR 30,000 per month
• Quarterly travel allowance for visiting clients across India to understand market needs
