Accreditation Services International GmbH (ASI) is the global company that assures the integrityof leading sustainability standards. ASI offers third party accreditation for voluntary certification schemes, e.g. Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and the Roundtable for Sustainable Biomaterials (RSB). ASI is located in Bonn, Germany.

ASI does not certify individual producers, processors or suppliers; it oversees the certification processes and documentation of accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies (CABs) and ensures that their policies and practices are adequate, transparent, fair and rigorous.

ASI is a full member of ISEAL, the global association for sustainability standards. Within the framework of the ISEAL impacts code, ASI is building a monitoring and evaluation system capable of examining both short-term and long-term effects of its oversight on its accredited CABs and ultimately on the conformity and credibility of certificates issued by them. The ASI IT Officer Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the design and implementation of the ASI Data Management System.

FUNCTION & PURPOSE

The primary roles of the IT Officer (ITO) are:

  • To support the IT Manager, staff and external clients in all aspects of IT service delivery as listed under Principal Duties and Responsibilities below:
  • To be quality orientated so as to help ensure that the ASI information and communication systems and tools are working reliably;

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

To develop, support and maintain all the IT systems of ASI and their clients, such as:

  • SalesForce based database management systems
  • WordPress corporate website
  • Gmail and Google-Drive
  • Mac and Windows based PCs with Office applications
  • Printers and small office network routers
  • Purchasing of IT and Communications equipment
  • To liaise with clients and external service providers
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

    • University level education in a relevant subject

    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

    • Professionalism: Professional experience and knowledge in IT administration and project management.
    • Fluency in English, it is the working language of ASI, other languages are a bonus but not required.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of an object orientated programming language, preferably Java or SalesForce APEX.
    • Salesforce Administrator experience would be an advantage.
    • Experience in developing mobile applications would be an advantage,
    • Excel “power user” level of competence.
    • WordPress administrator experience would be an advantage.
    • Able to install and troubleshoot Windows and Mac operating systems
    • Strong customer service orientated, and enjoy taking on new projects and have a constant desire to learn
    • Planning and Organizing: Demonstrated effective organizational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner.
    • Ability to manage processes, Good problem analysis and resolution skills
    • International relations: Ability to work in the international arena, and deal with other international organizations.
    • Teamwork: Good interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, multiethnic environment and to maintain effective working relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds. Ability to work successfully as part of a team.

      • Job Share: 100%.
      • Position is based in the ASI HQ in Bonn, Germany.
      • The office language is English.
      • Salary is paid according to the ASI Salary Categories plus an attractive benefits package
      • 30 vacation days per year.
