Information Technology (IT) Internship

San Francisco Office

 The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is a non-profit global environmental organization with more than 1.3 million members and online activists.  We have offices in New York, Washington, D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, Montana and Beijing, China.  Our staff of over 400 includes lawyers, scientists, economists, policy analysts and environmental experts work to protect the environment and public health through advocacy and education.

 Internship Summary:

NRDC is seeking an intern to work in its San Francisco office.  The intern will assist the IT department in responding to Help Desk requests.  The intern will troubleshoot user, laptop, PC, printer, and Blackberry issues.  The intern will set up conferences using our Audio/Video equipment and perform other tasks as required.  Pay for this internship is $15/hour.

 

Required Skills

 Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • Open to students currently enrolled in college
  • General familiarity with PCs, laptops, printers, network operating systems, LAN/WAN technologies
  • General familiarity with Microsoft’s Office Suite
  • Must have strong communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Ability to commit to 20 hours per week
