Are you an experienced field ecologist? We have several vacancies within the Community and Restoration Ecology group to work with a team of scientists monitoring mobile species on farmland with varying uptake of agri-environment schemes. This high-profile monitoring project is funded by Natural England, and conducted by CEH in collaboration with the British Trust for Ornithology. The role of these posts is to undertake monitor mobile species at various locations across England with associated deployment of field equipment and responsibility for landowner liaison. The posts will start with a training course at CEH Wallingford. Main Duties
Essential Skills Required
The posts require proven ability to identify bumblebee and butterfly species, or higher plant species, at an advanced level. The interview will include a test designed to assess this. Desirable Skills
