The Invasive Species and Restoration Intern participates in preserve operations, maintenance and management. This may include one or more of the following functions:

  • Invasive plant mapping and monitoring.
  • Herbicide application, integrated weed management, and increasing community awareness .
  • Planting/monitoring riparian willows along several stream restoration projects.
  • Field collection of baseline data on native insect populations, aspen stand structure, hydrologic characteristics of streams, and rangelands for a variety of adaptive management plans.
  • Entering data into MS Excel and Access spreadsheets.
