The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) is a non-profit organization working on policies to reduce conventional pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector. We have an opportunity for a 12-week full-time internship in San Francisco, CA this summer to support the Climate and Health program. The project is focused on identifying and applying new methods to assess the climate and health impacts of mobile source emissions on an international scale, and to identify best practice policies for their control. Particular emphasis will be placed on air quality within cities, secondary pollutants, and near-road exposures. The intern will become familiar with the latest research in this field, identify potential modeling tools, and apply them to policy-relevant questions regarding emissions from passenger cars, heavy-duty trucks, international shipping, and aviation.
