The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) has an internship opportunity in its San Francisco office to work in our passenger vehicle program for the fall semester. The intern will work to help the program staff analyze detailed databases of passenger vehicles in the Chinese market.
Our team is working on policies to improve vehicle fuel efficiency and reduce global warming impact from light-duty vehicle sector in China. This requires in-depth analysis on historical and current fleet data. Under the direction of program staff, the intern will help clean up raw databases for Chinese light-duty vehicles and conduct analysis to evaluate fleet trend in fuel economy, size, vehicle utility performance, technology adoption and other characteristics of interest. When necessary, the intern will make direct contact with sources or relevant policy agencies in China. As a deliverable, the intern will prepare a short report summarizing the findings.
The intern may also be asked to contribute to other activities of the passenger vehicles program, related to the Chinese market depending upon the background and interest of the intern.
