Internship: Junior Project Manager Environmental Innovation (Paid)

Greenovate! is recruiting an intern for a 6 months period starting in September 2009.

We are a Europen membership organisation who support innovation processes for renewable energy, energy efficieincy, waste&recycling and sustainable construction. Our small people team in Brussels works with partners from all over Europe from research, SMEs, large corporations, cleantech investors, science parks, cluster organisations and consultancies, all with keen interest in clean technologies.

We are looking for well organised graduates, with excellent communication skills, analytic mind, and the ability to take initiative. Fluent English language skills are absolutely necessary; knowledge of any other EU languages is welcome.

The trainee will have the opportunity to accumulate experience in a very international working environment focusing on innovation support for the environmental sector.

Depending on the applicant's individual profile, he or she will be handed over responsibility for a particular project in order to gain experience with time, resource and quality management tasks.

Job description

• supervised management of an own project depending on the applicant's capabilities and preferences
• writing profiles, summaries and short news stories in English
• regular website updates and support to the monthly newsletter
• event organisation support
• regular desk research on innovation actors and activities
  
• occasional database feeding; linkage database - mailing system
