Wetlands International is looking for an intern to assist with up-dating and analyzing of the International Waterbird Census (IWC) database - one of the world’s largest and most important biodiversity databases. 

The IWC database is the tool used by Wetlands International to compile, store, manipulate and present waterbird count data collected annually from over 20,000 sites in over 100 countries since 1967.

Applicants should have advanced and up-to-date database programming and GIS skills and should show close and meticulous attention to detail in their work. An interest in, and knowledge of waterbirds and wetlands will also be important. In return, Wetlands International offers opportunities to work with one of the world’s largest and most comprehensive biodiversity databases which is of crucial importance to the conservation of the world’s waterbirds and wetlands, and to undertake original and creative work in a small and enthusiastic team.
