Transparency International (TI) is the leading global non-governmental and not-for-profit organisation devoted to combating corruption. Its mission is to bring about change towards a world free of corruption. TI currently has more than 90 National Chapters across the world, and its International Secretariat is based in Berlin, Germany. TI does not investigate or expose individual cases of corruption but advocates for reform by focusing on systemic improvement and by building coalitions with other anti-corruption stakeholders, including governments, the private sector and civil society organisations. Vision: TI’s advocacy is defined as “Critical but constructive engagement with all stakeholders (aiming to include local communities) focusing on a process of change.” There are three broad goals for this work:
Description of Internship: Main function: Assisting the Advocacy Departmental Work and the Climate Governance Programme Starting Date: beginning or mid September 2010 Duration: Four to six months (full time) Remuneration: As per the internship guidelines (EUR €400 per month if the internship is not sponsored by a third party) Location: Berlin, Germany Key responsibilities:
