Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace.
Collect grass root level success stories of Sustainable Agriculture (trying, as much as possible, to collect scientific data) from different agro-climatic zones in the country and write/develop case studies. with a scientific punch
Conduct desktop research to collect relevant scientific literature on Sustainable Agriculture/ Organic farming and write short and crisp stories for online medium.
Documentation of Seminar proceedings or other events that are held during the internship period.
Duration: 2 months (August 1st 2009 – September 30th 2009)Resources:The intern will bring his/her own laptop to complete the project.Greenpeace shall provide the following resources during the internship:
a. Mobile phone charges based on official usage.
Expenses:The organization shall cover all travel related expenses in connection with the internship.StipendAn all inclusive stipend of Rs 10,000/- (Rupees Ten thousand only) per monthConditions§The line manager may alter the scope of the project to suit the individuals and organization’s needs and changing priorities.§This offer of internship is valid from the date the intern reports to our office on the starting date mentioned above. Skills/qualifications Required:
A BSc/MSc degree in Agriculture(final year) preferably in Agronomy with good orientation towards Sustainable Agriculture / Organic farming
Academic/Research experience in Sustainable Agriculture/Organic farming
Good English language skills
Familiarity with online medium desirable
Students in their final semester of Master’s degree program or students pursuing PhD programs in Agricultural Universities can also apply
