We have an immediate opening for a school year student internship in our Golden, Colorado office. The position would be part- to full time (30-40 hours per week) during the school year with the potential for development into a full time position during school breaks and in the summer.

We are looking for a highly organized intern with excellent communication (listening, speaking, writing) and sharepoint skills to support NREL’s Technical Assistance Teams. This team provides assistance to states, counties, localities, and weatherization agencies as they move toward their goal of increased energy efficiency and renewable energy. The assistance ranges from energy planning to energy policy development to technology installation assistance.
This intern will support the TAP team by being the point person for organizing requests, updating NREL and DOE databases for tracking requests, and reporting on request status in Microsoft Sharepoint. In addition, this intern will maintain and further develop a Sharepoint system that includes the technical assistance resource library. Other tasks include supporting team members as they respond to technical assistance requests, through online research, data gathering, and primary research.

Proven organization skills, familiarity with Microsoft Excel and SharePoint, and working within a team environment are highly valued in this position as well as an interest in supporting states and localities with meeting their clean energy goals. Excellent Sharepoint knowledge is preferred, but a working knowledge is acceptable if it comes with a willingness to learn.
