NREL is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student intern to support the various activities within the Technology Deployment and Sustainability projects conducted by staff within the Integrated Applications Office. Projects are likely to include supporting an effort to assist federal agencies in implementing new and underutilized building energy efficiency technologies and sustainability measures in buildings and campuses.
Job duties will include development of Excel-based analysis, collecting data for and inputting the data into these tools, analyzing results of data analyses, collecting and comparing information about existing technologies, methods, building implementation programs, and tools, and preparing reporting and presentation materials detailing findings of the projects the candidate will be supporting. The selected candidate will work closely with individuals leading NREL’s Technology Deployment and Sustainability tasks to perform these duties.
Must be enrolled as a full-time student.

Graduate students enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours.

Undergraduate students enrolled in a minimum of twelve credit hours.

Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
The selected candidate must be adept at organizing and manipulating large amounts of data, be skilled at using Microsoft Office products (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel spreadsheet tools), have the ability to develop or enhance Excel spreadsheet tools, and be able to support development of written reports and presentations to communicate project findings.
Preferred candidates would in the engineering, environmental or applied sciences fields.
