The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), located at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Golden, Colorado, is the nation’s primary laboratory for research, development and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL’s Strategic Energy Analysis Center has an immediate opening for an undergraduate or graduate student internship. The position is up to 40 hours per week with the option of a reduced-load schedule to accommodate any classes. The student will support energy analysis activities with a focus on solar energy technologies.
Conduct analysis on a variety of solar related tasks, including technical, economic, policy, and lifecycle analysis. 

Specific Job duties include:
• Data gathering and processing
• Economic analysis of PV/CSP systems
• Technical analysis of PV/CSP systems
• Running the System Advisor Model and other solar programs
Must be enrolled as a full-time student.

Graduate students enrolled in a minimum of nine credit hours.

Undergraduate students enrolled in a minimum of twelve credit hours.

Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.

Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
Engineering, technical, or scientific background/study.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Programming skills. Good mathematical skills.
