Job/Research Summary A student internship is available in the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s (NREL’s) Strategic Energy Analysis Center (SEAC).The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is the nation's primary laboratory for research, development and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies.
Job Duties With guidance from management and senior staff, this position will support ongoing analysis of the residential photovoltaic market. The successful candidate will join a team of solar market analysts exploring a wide range of data on residential PV markets including system finance and drivers of adoption. Duties may include developing a framework to collect data on residential PV contracts for host-owned and third-party owned systems, collecting and reviewing contract data, and analyzing the data using a variety of statistical and econometric techniques. In addition, the successful candidate may participate in writing technical reports and presenting the results.
Required Education and Experience Must be enrolled as a full-time student in a degree granting program at an accredited institution.

Minimum of a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
Additional Required Knowledge, Skills and Attributes Excellent written and oral communications. Degree economics, finance, business, statistics or other related field. High proficiency in Excel and ability to follow detailed requirements and produce quality work in a timely fashion.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with solar photovoltaic technology and/or markets, R programming experience, developed knowledge and coursework in statistics and econometrics.
