Title Internship - Building Sciences
Position Overview The Cadmus Group, Inc. seeks interns to assist with data collection for benchmarking energy consumption in state government buildings. Interns will assist team members with the collection, input and review of utility data, and perform site visits on occasion. This is a unique opportunity to gain substantial experience in the energy efficiency arena and green economy. Interns will work closely with analysis tools related to ENERGY STAR, a federally-funded climate protection program.

This is a 6-month paid assignment with the possibility to extend. It is expected that the intern will work up to 40 hours per week for the duration of the position, based on availability and school schedule. The internship will start immediately and be based in Little Rock, AR. Candidates must be willing to commit to living locally for the duration of the position; preference given to those who will stay the duration of the project contract. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities -Work with state and utility contacts to gather, verify and analyze data
-Use ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and Excel to monitor energy consumption in facilities
-Present findings to colleagues
Requirements -Demonstrated interest in energy efficiency and/or other environmental fields, familiarity with ENERGY STAR and Portfolio Manager preferred
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone communication
-Excellent organization, follow-through abilities, and attention to detail
-Availability and willingness to work in Little Rock required.
-Comfortable with both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis
-Enthusiastic about working in a time-sensitive team setting
-Familiarity with MS Office applications, including Word and Excel
-Undergraduate degree in engineering, building sciences or statistics preferred
Preferred Candidates enrolled in the following programs of study will be strongly preferred:

-Mechanical Engineering
-Electrical Engineering
-Engineering
-Building Sciences

Candidates from the following programs of study will also be given consideration:

-Math
-Statistics
-Life Sciences
