The Wildlife and Habitat Protection section focuses on the defense of all wild animals, both captured and free, from cruelty and avoidable suffering and exploitation, or from threats to their survival or well being.  This section is seeking interns to participate in an internship that highlights this mission statement. The internship will focus on certain wildlife campaigns, most notably the Protect Seals campaign which is aimed at ending the Canadian commercial seal hunt, as well as the Protect Sharks campaign which focuses on ending shark tournaments throughout the United States. Duties would include some administrative work, entering data into a database, calling sponsors of shark tournaments to encourage them to drop their sponsorship of kill events, reaching out to restaurants to get them on board for the Canadian seafood boycott, as well as other duties as needed. This internship is located in Gaithersburg, Md.  Please send cover letters and resumes to kkullberg@hsus.org by September 15th.
