Mott MacDonald is currently seeking to recruit an International Water Resources Planner to grow our capability in this field and to manage and develop the water resources services that we offer to our clients. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in the assessment of water resources and river management procedures which shall include successful project delivery.
The International Water Resources Planner will hold a relevant further degree (minimum Masters) and Professional qualifications in civil engineering, environmental sciences or other related disciplines. Further specialist qualifications in hydrological sciences, water resources, groundwater or catchment management is also highly desirable. He/she will have experience in the practical application of water resources planning in the context of hydrometry, surface water run-off, drainage and groundwater development. It is envisaged that a significant part of this experience will have been gained on major international projects with institutional strengthening capability to improve water resources management. Familiarity with the various modelling software that is commonly used for different water resources applications including reservoir simulation and operation, rainfall – runoff processes and groundwater abstraction is essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for the project management and technical delivery on assignments that may typically span across the water, flood management and irrigation sectors. Much of the work will be on major international projects where catchment management and water resources planning are essential components
Overseas experience is desirable. A willingness to travel overseas is essential.
