Do you

Care about the conservation of wild plants in Europe?

Enjoy working with people?

Have a good track record in managing multi-partner projects?

Want to work for Europe’s leading plant conservation NGO?

Plantlife International is known around the world for driving the conservation of Important Plant Areas (IPAs); internationally important sites for wild plants. We are seeking an effective and efficient project manager with good communication skills to lead the implementation of our Important Plant Area project for volunteers in Europe – with a focus on the Balkans.  You will have responsibility for project management and delivery, and to be closely involved in the development of subsequent programmes.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in managing multi-partner conservation projects – ideally also multi-country-  building relationships with partners and donors, report and creative writing, and facilitating workshops to technical and non-technical audiences.  They will love wild plants, be outgoing and positive, have the ability to get on well with individuals and teams from diverse cultural backgrounds and to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders via email, telephone and face-to-face. A background in plant conservation will be advantageous but is not essential.

This position is ideally suited to an individual who already has a track record of working on international nature conservation projects.

Legal permission to work in the UK is a prerequisite for this role.
