Job Description
The Natural Resources Defense Council, Inc. (NRDC), is a leading nonprofit environmental organization with a staff of more than 350, including scientists, technical experts, lawyers, and other specialists. NRDC’s International Program is seeking an intern to work in the Washington, DC office beginning in early September: Communications and research intern for Latin America BioGems Initiative. Required Skills
This position focuses on energy, climate and environment issues in Latin America. The intern will track developments in key countries, particularly Mexico, Chile and Costa Rica to produce a weekly news round-up. The internship will also include researching and writing about environmental issues in Latin America, including renewable energy, energy efficiency, protected areas and coastal development. Graduate students focusing on environmental and/or energy policy, Latin America specialists, and extremely dedicated undergraduates will be considered. Applicants must have a strong command of written and spoken Spanish. Academic credit can be arranged.
