In this role, you will be responsible for:
Support and capacitate local teams in CDM implementation related issues such as preparing monitoring plans, monitoring protocols for already registered CDM/VCS projects in accordance with the documentation submitted to the CDM, VCS or Goldstandard, and provide training to local teams on the implementation of the monitoring plan and the monitoring protocol
Quality assurance of project implementation of local South Pole offices such as China and Vietnam
Quality checks of projects in these regions
Visit local implementation teams from time to time
Supporting the business development team in the assessment of potential projects
Key competencies and qualifications include:
University degree in engineering, environmental science, management or related fields
At least 2 years experience with developing CDM and CDM Goldstandard projects;
Strong technical skills and experience in, or familiarity with the energy, waste or industrial sectors
Excellent intercultural, communication skills, team player
Ability to manage own work effectively, to prioritize tasks and great attention to details
Fluent English; other languages would be beneficial
