Objective of the assignment:
An International Consultant (IC) will ensure that the overall technical direction for the whole project is maintained and flexibly adapted to meet the practical challenges faced during implementation.
The IC will work closely with the Project Manager, under the overall supervision and guidance by the UNDP CO, and Global SWH Project Management Unit (GPMU), based in UNDP-GEF (HQs).
Support the Project Management to implement and monitor the progress of the project and its different subcomponents and, as needed, build the capacity of the local experts working for the project to successfully implement the project activities, ensuring that they comply with the agreed benchmarks and success indicators of the project as well as international best practices and lessons learnt.
