Internal Communications Advisor

NIWA is New Zealand's leading environmental science research institute and the key provider of atmospheric, freshwater and marine applied science services in New Zealand. 

With more than 640 staff in 15 offices across the country, effective internal communication is essential to our continued success. That's why we're looking for a dynamic internal communications specialist to develop and implement our internal communications strategy.  

The successful applicant will have proven experience providing advice to senior managers on effective internal communication strategies and staff engagement in large organisations. You will be a talented writer, who has excellent interpersonal skills and is passionate about developing new ways to maximise the connections between our diverse staff. 

This position also includes responsibility for leading and completing our intranet redevelopment project, so you will need to have hands-on experience in this area too.
