Description
The Intern will provide technical and administrative support to the Responsible Mining and Energy (RME) Program. This position will provide support in the design and implementation of the RME Strategy on environmental and social Integration. This will include but is not limited to, conducting qualitative and quantitative research; benchmarking companies, best practices, industry trends; due diligence research; analyzing research and technical writing. This position will work in close collaboration with the Director, Responsible Mining and Energy and other members of the RME team
RESPONSIBILITIES
Research: Conduct research (benchmarking, trends analysis) on the key issues and interventions at the intersection of corporate environmental and social practices (e.g. water, artisanal and small scale mining). This may also include administering a survey/conducting interviews with relevant stakeholders to prioritize strategic opportunities and those that are of highest importance to corporate partners.
Technical writing: Document research findings; analyze information generated from research and surveys and draft report recommendations.
