Job Description:
DAI is seeking an individual from a leading graduate degree program with energy experience for an internship with DAI’s Energy and Climate Change team. Specific projects will be determined but work will likely include market analysis and proposal development as well as technical/research on one or more of the following topics in a developing country context: energy efficiency finance, clean technology enterprise development, impacts of climate change on hydropower, or carbon credit institutional development.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting research and analysis and producing reports and/or briefings on the carbon markets, clean technology development, electricity sector policies and/or climate change impacts on the energy sector;
• Conducting business development market research, data collection, and analysis on key countries and donor-funded projects; and
• Assisting in proposal development, including recruiting staff.
Basic Qualifications:
• Current or graduating MBA or MA with expertise in energy and/or climate change;
• Experience in the energy sector;
• Experience in clean technology, venture capital, or SME development is a plus;
• Technical undergraduate degree is a plus;
• Experience in developing country context is a plus; and
• Strong research, organizational and written communication skills.
