Intern, Economics and Climate – Job Description The ECF has recently launched the Low Carbon Economy Initiative, which is supported by the ECF’s Chief Economist, based in Berlin. Its main objective is to develop a better understanding of the economic dimension of climate change and climate policies. In this sense, the goal is to build a bridge between conventional economics and climate economics, e.g. to analyze the impact of climate policies on competitiveness or to develop economic and statistical tools to better understand the interactions between climate and the economy. The ECF is therefore offering an internship for six months – possibly extendible to 12 – starting as soon as possible. The selected candidate will be based in Berlin and will work closely and actively with the Chief Economist on a range of tasks: Content tasks:

Duration: six months, extendible to 12 for the right candidate. Compensation: similar to that of internships in European institutions (Commission, Council and Parliament). Workplace: Berlin (Candidates must be in possession of work permit for Germany in case applicable).
