Description

The intern will help with various outreach materials, including peer reviewed publications that need to be completed as part of the IKI EbA solutions project. This exciting project, which aims to improve the understanding and use of the ecosystem-based adaptation in three geographies (South Africa, Philippines and Brazil) is ending soon and we are in the process of combining and summarizing all the information gathered.  Work will include the search for references to be included in outreach materials, manuscript editing and formatting and preparation of a brochure that will include the results of the project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern will help CI staff to:

  •  Identify internal and external literature to be included in the manuscript that will summarize the lessons learned of the EbA solutions project,
  •  Edit and format this and other manuscripts that will present the results of this project,
  • Prepare a brochure with the lessons learned of this project,
  • Prepare and review other materials that will be produced as part of this project, such as policy briefs. Additional activities to support the climate change adaptation manager may be done in addition to the ones listed above.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in progress.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Great writing skills in English.

Preferred

  • GIS skills are desirable but not required.
  • Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is desirable but not required.
