Intern – Eco Events

Global Action Plan is a dynamic environmental charity working with a range of businesses, schools and communities to help them to reduce their carbon impact and become more sustainable. 

We are looking for a self-motivated intern to join our events team to support the delivery of our Eco-events programme.   

Role:

The intern position is an office based role with the potential to go out on our Eco events. The role will initially support our Events team to: 

-          respond to enquiries for events

-          maintain records for event bookings

-          arrange event logistics and staff

-          prepare equipment for events

-          help develop new Eco-events materials and equipment 

The role will also give the intern the opportunity to be involved in our business and household behaviour change projects and there is the potential for full time employment at the end of the internship.  Involvement in a project may include administrative support and also face to face engagement in challenging environments. 

Are you the person we are looking for?

We are looking for someone who is passionate and committed to encouraging more sustainable lifestyles. You should have good writing skills, be a confident and friendly speaker, be able to communicate complex ideas clearly and ideally experience in customer service and/or administration. 

The role would be perfect for someone who is looking to start their career in the charity and environmental sector and it’s a great opportunity to get a well-rounded experience in: marketing, project management, project reporting, administration of contracts and team working. 

This post is based in our London office: WC2B 4AY

Start date: ASAP

Duration: 3-6 months (35 hour a week)

Remuneration:  London Living Wage (£8.80 per hour)
