Description
This is a part-time temporary position with the PepsiCo Arlington Manufacturing facility. Position will support the safety and environmental department. Assist with Sustainability initiatives, projects and measurement to ensure continuous improvement in Resource Conservation
- Responsible for completing an analysis to identify gaps in current Hazardous Communication program (MSDS)
- Assist the Haz Comm Topic owner in activities to strengthen overall depth of program
- Assist in implementation of visual mapping for Lock Out/Tag Out on production lines
- Assist in implementation of confined space labeling to properly identify permit required confined space items within the plant
- Assist with analysis and input of Behavior Based Safety audits and Near Miss reports to track and quantify plant participation in both programs
- Compliance with all GMP, OSHA and Plant Food Safety Policies.
Requirements:
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered for the position:
- Must be full-time student with at least Junior or Senior level course work
- Student with studies in OSHA or Health & Safety focus or Engineering student
- Flexibility in weekend and evening hours
- Good communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to sit, stand, squat, bend and twist for long periods of time (6-8 hrs). Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
