Our system includes a market mechanism to drive positive change that reduces the impact of natural resource exploration and production, creates a new market for responsibly produced fuels and minerals, and empowers consumers and businesses to reward companies that adopt this new paradigm. Our value proposition grants us access to major oil and gas operators in Latin America and beyond. 

We are looking for a paid, part-time Integrated Marketing Intern to support our business development and marketing efforts. He or she will report to our Strategic Marketing team and support our CEO and sales team in our Latin America in developing our global sales & marketing tactics. Our need is immediate; our expectation is for the internship to last for six months, with an option to extend the duration. The candidate must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week during school term and 20 hours per week during the summer term.

We have a number of staff based in the US and regional operations in Colombia and Ecuador.  Ideally, the position will be based in our New York City office although exceptional candidates residing elsewhere will be considered.  Spanish language capability is preferred, but not required.

Key Responsibilities:       

• Research relevant industry events, conferences and speaking opportunities
• Event planning and execution including logistics, registrations, and coordination with staff
• Digital and social media support including refreshing on-line content 
• Newsletter management including gathering key internal news items and assisting with editorial calendar planning
• Webinar production support, including building a schedule of speakers and topics
• E-mail campaign coordination and management of database
• Coordination with outside vendors, including designers and printers

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate should have a strong social conscience and demonstrate:

• Junior- or senior-level undergraduate education or above, or a professional undertaking a career transition
• Educational or professional emphasis in marketing or closely related field
• Flexibility, enterprise, autonomy, commitment and a collaborative nature
• Strong communication, planning and organization skills
• Extraordinary attention to detail and excellent writing and facilitation skills
• Strong Windows-based Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and general IT competency; experience with Microsoft Access and Windows 8 a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with the following experience will be given preference in the selection process:

• Knowledge of the extractive industries in general and oil and gas in particular
• Bilingual English/Spanish; experience working in Latin America
• Domain knowledge of social, environmental and sustainability issues
