Job Description

The Inside Solar Advisor is the first point of contact for most of SolarCity’s residential customers, and is responsible for qualifying leads and scheduling appointments for Sales Representatives. The candidate will become a subject matter expert in rate plans and utilities. The ideal candidate must have a high degree of maturity, be a team player, and be able to handle a high volume of leads. 

Responsibilities
• Contribute to the success of the organization by guiding quality prospects through the sales channel
• Manage lead flow to ensure customer satisfaction and successfully grow team sales
• Schedule consultations over the phone for our sales representatives
• Determine suitability of sites using proprietary tools and satellite technology
• Exceed set quotas and work in a fast paced environment
• Deal effectively with all inquiries and represent SolarCity in a professional manner
• Must be able to elicit customer’s interest and concerns while providing pertinent information to the customer

Requirements
• Have at least 1 year sales experience with a proven track record
• Previous call center experience is preferred
• Ability to learn new technology and procedures 
• Be proficient with MS Office and CRM systems
• Must be customer focused at all times to ensure high quality of customer satisfaction.
• Previous knowledge of solar power is preferred
• Proven track record in working in a target driven environment
• Previous experience carrying a sales quota
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to use sound judgment in the qualifying process
• Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment criminal screen
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Excellent telephone skills
