Inside Sales Associate (m/f/d/v)
Goals of the position
- Primarily responsible for providing premier customer service to SOLON customers and Sales Managers. The successful candidate will work in a cross-functional atmosphere to manage target accounts and inventory, coordinate schedules with production operations, and provide strategic input for monthly pricing and forecasting.
Area of activity
- Continuously maintains the highest degree of customer service by providing timely communication with all customers, both internal and external.
- Supports Sales Managers with information regarding pricing, current inventory, lead times, and offer letter creation.
- Maintains up-to-date records for ready retrieval.
- Facilitates exchange of information between production and sales.
- Works closely with supply chain personnel to ensure on-time shipment of customer orders. Negotiates delivery options and schedules changes as needed.
- Evaluates purchase order requisitions and confirms accuracy and delivery schedules.
- Creates sales orders and releases delivery notes. Establishes new customers in the system as needed.
- Communicates with customers concerning delivery, freight and credit issues.
- Obtains and e-mails flash data, packing slips/delivery notes to customer.
- Assists in obtaining customer credit information. Monitors established credit limits.
- Reviews warranty claims and customer concerns. Processes claims as appropriate.
- Responsible for tracking and reporting on-time metrics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field necessary.
- 2-5 years' experience required.
- Exemplary customer service skills and tactful negotiation skills.
- Strong computer skills. SAP experience a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills a must.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
