INNOVATION DELIVERY TEAM: PROGRAMME MANAGERSLONDON£46,975 TO £68,322TWO YEAR FIXED TERM APPOINTMENT WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION AND/OR PERMANENCEStrategic innovation is needed if we are to meet our challenging future climate change goal of an 80% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Focusing on programme management, you will support the delivery of innovation projects designed to find solutions to renewable energy. Whether you’re managing the work with colleagues or external partners, you’ll ensure that each programme delivers value for money and is evaluated at every stage. Succeed, and you will play a vital role in the delivery of cutting-edge technology with the potential to change the world. To excel, you must combine a science or engineering degree with project management experience gained in a technical environment. Experience of the commercial sector or investment in technology is important, as is a results-focused approach to your work. You’ll also need to be able to communicate technical and financial issues clearly to a range of audiences. And while not essential, an understanding of energy areas such as offshore wind, buildings, marine, electricity storage, carbon capture, fuel cells and bio would prove an asset too. For our more senior team leader, you will also need to demonstrate the ability to provide direction to team and other stakeholders supporting delivery.
