Information Officer

Based at Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation (ECCI), Edinburgh, UK

Vacancy Details: 28 hours per week, salary £26,500-£34,904 pa pro rata

We are looking to recruit an Information Officer to work within the Secretariat of ClimateXChange, the Scottish Centre of Expertise on Climate Change.

 

You will be play a key role in the small Secretariat team at the heart of this initiative to improve climate and low carbon Scottish policy development and implementation by enhancing the flow of effective knowledge from the Scottish research base to the Scottish Government and partner agencies. The work of the Centre is ambitious, and stimulates innovative thinking in support of policy development and implementation.

 

This post will be located at the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation in Edinburgh reporting to the  ClimateXChange Project Manager.

 

You should have experience of working in a policy environment, with a good degree and at least 3 years relevant work experience. You should have demonstrable project management skills, be an extremely effective communicator, comfortable working with senior academics and senior policy officials, and have evidence of operating effectively under time pressure.
