Infographic Designer/Multimedia Producer Under direction of the deputy director of communications/creative director, serve as an in-house infographic designer, multimedia producer, and project manager. Work collaboratively to design and create data visualizations, slide shows, videos, PowerPoint presentations, graphics, and other visual storytelling products. Serve as project manager for multimedia projects, work closely with program and communications colleagues, and outside vendors, to ensure products are created collaboratively, as well as on message, on brand, and on time. Responsibilities Infographic design and multimedia creation (50% of time)
Project management (50% of time)
Qualifications and experience Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated ability to translate complex information into engaging, dynamic content for lay audiences. We’re seeking a creative, collegial team player with exceptional project management skills. Must have the ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines and thrive in a fast paced, quickly evolving environment. Must have experience in design and video software formats (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud applications such as PhotoShop, Illustrator, Premier Pro, Fireworks, or other creative development software). Experience in visual PowerPoint slide design and knowledge of Tableau a plus. Should have understanding of web platforms and multimedia usability on the web. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript helpful, but not required. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or equivalent preferred. At UCS, comparable training and/or experience can be substituted for degrees when appropriate.
Compensation, Hours and Location: This is a full-time position based in UCS’s Cambridge, MA office. For candidates who meet all position requirements, the salary is in the upper $50Ks.
