We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee our Indian operations:
- Build and maintain ongoing relationships with investors, potential issuers of green bonds, government agencies, regulators investment banks, asset managers (both domestic and foreign), industry bodies, NGOs and the press.
- Take responsibility for delivering key elements across a number of our work streams in India, specifically:
- Growing a vibrant green bonds market in the country
- Working to overcome market barriers and creating a market for Indian green asset backed securities
- Establishing the Indian foundations for the Climate Aggregation Platform (a joint project with the UNDP).
- Support our project manager with developing and managing relationships with potential issuers of green bonds, including banks, state-owned enterprises, municipalities, and large corporates.
- Advise potential issuers on green bond issuance and Climate Bonds certification.
- Support verifiers on the verification process as part of Climate Bonds certification.
- Support CBI projects and business in India with oversight from project manager (in London and India) and frequent visits from other CBI staff.
Qualification and Experience
Essential:
- Deep experience in financial markets and bond issuance.
- Experience in securitization and asset backed securities market in India or internationally.
- Strong abilities in communication and coordination, and to work independently.
- Strong network within the financial services sector in India
- Relevant work experience in project support and implementation.
- Motivated and a self-starter who does not need constant management and oversight.
- Ability to manage, coordinate and prioritise across multiple tasks, projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Ability to travel.
- Good networking skills, and ability to spot new opportunities.
- Proficiency in both Hindi and English.
- BSc in a related field, (MSc or higher preferred) from a reputable university.
- Ability to work with people from other cultures and backgrounds.
