Climate Processes and Change Research Scientist Ongoing Salary: $74,729 - $104,657 pa Duties: To undertake an active research program in the fields of ice sheet dynamics and modelling within the Climate Processes and Change Program of AAD, contributing to the Australian Antarctic Science Strategic Plan. The position has a significant team focus in provision of a strong quantitative and analytical basis to the activities of the group. The research is expected to advance the application of computer modelling based approaches to assessing influences on the mass balance of the Antarctic ice sheet. The position demands a productive and innovative researcher capable of initiating and driving independent research ideas as well as collaboratively supporting the work of others. In addition to strong computational and analytical capabilities, the research requires a capability to contribute to field-work.
