Description

The British Antarctic Survey (BAS), part of the Natural Environment Research Council, aims to undertake a world-class programme of scientific research, and to sustain for the UK an active and influential regional presence and a leadership role in Antarctic affairs. 

The post is to work within the ice core group of the Chemistry and Past Climate programme, supporting in the analysis of Antarctic ice cores with the aim of reconstructing past climate. 

You will be required to cut and process ice cores in the -20°C cold laboratory.

Qualifications: Any qualification in a science discipline (or equivalent).

Duration: 1 year Fixed Term Appointment

Salary: Salary will be in the range of £14,620 to £18,910 per annum. We offer a generous benefits package including a defined salary pension scheme, free car parking, flexible working hours and 30 days annual leave.
