My client is a world leading energy generation company. They develop, build and operate conventional and clean energy assets across the globe.

Position Overview:
The Senior Project Manager will oversee the design, construction, testing and commissioning phase of the main dam, reservoir, hydraulic channels or tunnels, power house, regulating dam, downstream channel or access road construction.

Responsibilities:
• Project Management and coordination with other engineering disciplines including, Structural, environmental, mechanical and electrical engineers covering a range of project requirements from new build to modification, maintenance or refurbishment;
• Act as most senior onsite member and as a representative of the owner.
• Be involved in determining and co-ordinating the NECESSARY inputs for the hydro power feasibility studies
• Responsible for management of preliminary property protection (settlement) studies, Tunnelling Methodology Report, cost estimates, feasibility studies, construction methods and coordination with systems and station consultants
• You will develop and maintain key relationships with clients in order to keep them up to date of the progress of the project
• Manage numerical modelling analysis on the tunnel or underground works structure and related engineering
• Responsible for helping to organise, plan and execute many aspects of the assessment program including site testing and inspection, analysis, classification and reporting
• Support and lead on Bid management assisting in tenders for a variety of Tunnel and underground work projects
• Liaise with clients and report on deliverable as required;
• Responsible for timely production and delivery of reliable design solutions, reports, specifications or drawings

Education:
BSc in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent.
Requirements:
• 10+ years Project Construction experience of large complex projects (water storage, railways, roads, tunnels, offshore construction, complex infrastructure projects), with a track record of managing a team of diverse contractors
• Tunnel/ underground works Design Engineering experience
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional analytical, forecasting and technical competences.
• Experience working on proposal preparation, site supervision and design reviews
• Ideal candidate would come from an engineering consultancy, EPC or general contractor
• Experience of civil, electrical or mechanical engineering within water storage, railways, roads, tunnels and/or offshore construction industry
• Design risk management, construction programming, tendering process and quality assurance management
• Managed teams in multi-disciplinary on complex projects
• Record of successful project delivery to time and budget
• Excellent HSE track record
• Experience of project management processes, from feasibility and design through to construction and close-out

Key Skills:
Project construction experience of large complex projects (water storage, railways, roads, tunnels, offshore construction, complex infrastructure projects), hydroelectric power engineering, Tunnel/ underground works Design Engineering experience, engineering consultancy, EPC or general contractor background, excellent HSE track record, proposal preparation, project management, design review, civil, electrical or mechanical engineering.
