About the role:

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and well motivated to work with a team of hydrological modellers within the Water Resource Assessment Group. You will be involved in the setting up and running of hydrological and water quality models. You will concentrate on the “UK Drought - Developing a drought narrative resource” project looking at how different sectors and users, as well as the ecosystem services demand, will be met during future drought events. The model will be run under present and future climate change scenarios up to 2099.

To join us you will need:

  • A Degree in a relevant discipline together with relevant experience
  • Proven ability in using and exploring large datasets using GIS software
  • Experience of running catchment scale models calibrated and validated using the available measured data (stream flows, soil moisture, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills
