Due to significant growth, we currently seek an HVAC Operations Manager for the Kennet Square, PA area. The Operations Manager must be technically proficient with HVAC, fulfillment, product standards and support and verify data collection and reporting efforts. In addition to managing field engineers or technicians, you will ultimately be responsible for increasing profitable growth through efficient coordination of fulfillment teams and implementing process improvements.

In addition to daily management activities, this position will help achieve financial targets, profit margins and technical metrics as well as assist in growing the business through supporting the implementation of new programs and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Program Manager
  • Track and Manage Technical, Capacity, Fulfillment and Productivity Metrics
  • Budget & Forecast Installation and Service Activity, expenses and revenue
  • Daily, Monthly, Quarterly and Annual reporting to various stakeholders and matrixed work teams.
  • Ability to multi task and THRIVE in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Support retention, recruiting and hiring processes.
  • Coordinate and assist in classroom and on site field training.
  • Prepare work schedules and assign work.
  • Supervise all fulfillment, quality and other service activities and personnel
  • Manage resources ensuring safety, quality and efficient operations.
  • Prioritize field service orders and manage team accordingly including schedule changes as dictated by customer requirements.
  • Actively supervise implementations in accordance with established installation procedures.
  • Manage ongoing safety procedures and quality assurance.
  • Ensure compliance with national, state and local electrical codes.
  • Control field related costs; audit field reporting (time, mileage and quality metrics)
  • Track, analyze and weekly reporting on field activities and effectiveness to ensure that performance requirements are met.
  • Prepare for and participate in weekly staff meetings.
  • Work closely with end clients to meet and exceed expectations and add value

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree and combination of relevant work experience
  • 5+ years in a field engineer or technician capacity
  • 5+ years in a Management role (teams of 40-80 depending on project)
  • Experience leading installs or upgrades of products in the IT, Telecom, or Utility industries is preferred
  • Superior communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and relationship management.
  • Excellent analysis and reasoning skills
  • Computer skills – MS Office Suite, MS Project, field service software, and financial and database application experience
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move products of up to 25 pounds
