HR Manager

Are you passionate about developing people to the highest level of performance? Greenpeace is looking for an experienced, highly professional and enthusiastic HR Manager to lead our Human Resources Team in providing an exemplary comprehensive and innovative HR service to all staff.

You will be crucial to the achievement of Greenpeace’s strategic objectives and in developing  our people through the management of our HR functions.

Key duties:

  • Provide guidance to all employees and volunteers on all HR matters, people development, legal compliance, best practice and HR strategy development
  • Manage and lead the Human Resources Team
  • Day-to-day HR guidance and support in: recruitment and selection, policy development, performance management, payroll and support for all employees.

Selection Criteria:

  • Commitment to Greenpeace’s values and mission
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain quality relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the business
  • Ability to demonstrate influence and manage expectations of key stakeholders
  • Knowledge and experience with Award interpretation, developing HR policies and procedures, industrial and employment legislation, dealing with unions and leading Enterprise Bargaining Agreement negotiations
  • Genuine interest in developing people
  • At least 5 years' HR experience
  • Tertiary HR qualifications
  • Strong computing skills and experience with HR software
  • Commitment to Equal Employment Opportunity and Occupational Health and Safety principles.

This is a full time permanent position based in Sydney.
