Horticulturist (X 4 vacancies)

Pro-rata of £14,400pa
Short term Contracts, Start date: 26th May 2014. End date: 27th June 2014

This June the Eden horticultural team will be sharing their knowledge in free gardening talks, workshops, tours, demonstrations and welcoming celebrity guest speakers. To help the team we are seeking four horticultural temporary placements.

You might be a recent horticultural graduate or presently studying and looking for some paid work experience.  Alternatively, you may consider a stint at the world famous gardens of the Eden Project will help towards building your practical horticultural experience and plant knowledge.  If so, we would like to hear from you.

You will work to a good horticulture standard and have an eye for detail. All round knowledge of horticulture with the ability to develop new skills is essential. You will work across the Outdoor biome, Rainforest biome, Mediterranean biome, and Nursery so you need to be a good ‘all-rounder’ and be willing to apply your horticultural skills across a very broad plant collection.

Suitable candidates must have a proven horticulture experience and/or a NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent).

Interviews will be held on 21/22 and 23 May 2014

Candidates should be available to work for the duration of the contract, until 27th June 2014.
