RHS Garden Wisley is one of the great gardens of the World and the RHS School of Horticulture has been at the forefront of horticultural training for over 100 years. We are known for producing horticulturists who get their hands dirty, know what they are doing and are hugely respected within the industry.

The Wisley Diploma in Practical Horticulture is a two-year course of paid work experience with academic studies. As a Horticultural Trainee you will assist in day-to-day cultivation and maintenance tasks as you rotate through the various teams in the garden, as well as attending a full range of training activities and completing project work.

You will also have the opportunity to make use of the vast resources of the RHS, learn more about the workings of the entire organisation and participate in shows.

You should have a good general knowledge of horticulture, a passion for learning more, and the ability to work as part of a flexible team. A full UK driving licence is desirable and you should have proven practical experience in horticulture.

We offer a wide range of benefits as part of your employment package which include 25 days holiday, life assurance and Group Personal Pension Plan.

Apply by completing the RHS Application Form and send with your CV and a covering note highlighting how you match the knowledge, experience and skills requirements of the role to: recruitment@rhs.org.uk. Please ensure you attach a completed Equal Opportunities Form from the download section.
