The Job: The role of the SGC Development Phase Officer is to carry out the development needed to prepare for the second stage grant application to HLF and to prepare and submit the Stage Two application for the restoration and enhancement of the natural heritage of the Sevenoaks Greensand Commons. This is your chance to be part of an exciting, dynamic and challenging programme of work, utilising your skills and experience in developing the project, working with local authorities, statutory agencies, NGOs and the local communities of the Sevenoaks area.
The Development Officer will be based in the Sevenoaks area with office facilities at Sevenoaks District Council Offices and Tyland Barn, the headquarters of Kent Wildlife Trust. The Development Officer will work closely with KWT staff and will report to a Sevenoaks Greensand Common Steering Group representing the interests of the landowners and local organisations.
You: A strong communicator who is self-motivated, with at least three years relevant experience in conservation/environmental/heritage/community project management and development. You will have a proven track record of managing significant scale projects including the financial management of time and cash limited projects and a qualification to degree level in a relevant subject or an equivalent level of experience (ecology, environment, countryside management, heritage, community development).
