Southern Solar Ltd is an expanding solar energy installation company. We provide a professional service with an emphasis on high quality relationships. Our main work is the installation of solar thermal and solar electric systems for domestic, public sector and commercial clients. Our primary workload at present is the installation of solar electric systems. However, we are also growing our Commercial and Domestic Solar Hot Water business in the local area.


Job Description

•    Support Sales for the Hereford Branch under the direction of the Branch Manager and in line with the strategy set by the Commercial and Domestic Sales Manager.
•    Be the first point of contact for all enquiries, provide information and direct the enquiry to the appropriate person.
•    Pre-qualify sales leads and book appointments for surveys.
•    Manage incoming and outgoing post; maintain sales records within CRM system.
•    Issue quotes, system designs and plans.
•    Follow up quotes and assist in closing sales (under the direction of the Sales Manager).
•    Attend marketing events and exhibitions under the direction of the Branch Manager.
•    Maintain local blog and twitter feed.
•    Undertake special one-off projects for the whole company.
•    Assisting the Branch Manager and other staff wherever possible.
The successful candidate will ideally have skills, experience and qualifications in the following areas:
EXPERIENCE
Essential

•    Experience in a technical sales setting
•    A proven track record in telephone sales qualifications and customer service
•    Working with databases and CRM software, MS Excel
•    Office Administration

Desirable

•    Knowledge of renewable energies specifically solar.
•    Experience with Social Media and Blogging
•    Office Administration or similar experience.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
•    NVQ Level 2, A Level or Equivalent Qualifications
•    5 GCSE or equivalent, grade C or higher.
Desirable
•    First Aid Qualification
•    Sales Training Certificate

CHARACTER
Essential 
•    Enthusiasm for renewable energies and the local community
•    Proactive attitude to problem solving 
•    Strong team building skills.
OTHER

Desirable 
•    Able to work a range of hours with occasional overnight stays
•    Right to work in the UK
•    Full driving license.
