Helpline Manager - Technical Specialist 

BCT operates a National Bat Helpline to provide the general public, owners of buildings containing a bat roost, and professionals with easily accessible and accurate information.

Myths and misunderstandings about bats together with intolerance and fear have always been obstacles to their conservation.  By informing and supporting people who come into contact with bats, BCT works towards its vision of a world where bats and people live in harmony. In 2012, the National Bat Helpline dealt with over 12,800 enquiries, and this is expected to increase in 2013. The contract for managing statutory casework for Natural England has recently been renewed and the extent of geographical coverage increased to all of England.

BCT is now looking for a Helpline Manager – Technical Specialist to ensure that the technical advice given by helpline staff is robust, alongside helping to lead and manage the helpline team, managing service provision and relationships with funders.
