Healthy Ecosystems Campaigner

  • Senior campaigner leading national campaign for next generation of environmental law
  • Work with leading edge team of digital campaigners, communication strategists, field organisers and policy analysts
  • Permanent position with salary range of $75,000 - $85,000pa plus 10% superannuation, based on experience

The Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) stands for ecological sustainability. We get to the heart of environmental problems by tackling the underlying social and economic causes and has been a strong and effective voice for the environment for 50 years.

The Healthy Ecosystems Program leads ACF’s campaigns to protect and restore Australia’s terrestrial, freshwater and marine ecosystems. We have made a leading contributed to major conservation outcomes in the Murray-Darling, Tasmania’s forests and national marine pars. Our current priorities are landscape-scale connectivity conservation and the overhaul of Australia’s system of environment laws.

You will be one of two senior campaigners and a policy coordinator who make up the Healthy Ecosystems Program. You will drive strategy and be the face of our national campaign for stronger environment laws in collaboration with the Places You Love Alliance. You will coordinate campaign activities delivered by ACF’s leading team of digital campaigners, communication strategists, field organisers and fundraisers. Your campaign will be supported by in-house economics, policy and legal advisers as well as external experts.
