Description

The Soil Association is the UK's leading membership charity campaigning for healthy, humane and sustainable food, farming and land use. We are a founding member of Cosmos, the international organic and natural standard for health and beauty products. We are looking for someone to support the development of our work in this area by doing some research into the availability of organic health and beauty products.

If you’re interested in organic agriculture, and particularly in organic and natural health and beauty, this could be a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of the sector. You would also get some useful experience of undertaking research to support the work of a leading food and farming charity.  This is largely a desk-based research role although some writing or practical research may also be required.

This placement would suit an enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in organic and natural health and beauty products. Some prior knowledge of the sector, or organic principles, would be an advantage but is not essential. Good IT skills, including efficient use of the internet, MS Word and Excel are desirable. This is a voluntary position but travel and lunch expenses are available. The role could be undertaken on a short-term full-time basis, or as a longer term part-time placement. Just let us know how much time you have to spare.

Closing date for applications: Monday 3rd December 2012
